Teach your kids to ride a bike at the Hector Norris Track Youth Series brought to you by www.PTSCoach.com – this Saturday, 23rd February.
FUN and FITNESS ALL IN ONE!
Children of all ages can learn the basics of cycling – from mounting and dismounting, to balance and bike handling, bunch riding and bike racing in the safety of an enclosed cycle track.
Once a month our qualified coaches & track racing team will present two basic training clinics before an afternoon of fun-filled racing:
10.30 – 13h00 Skills coaching starts – Learn to Ride – focusing on basic cycling and bike handling skills presented our qualified coaches will be Steve Saunders, Bennie Moqumo and Alex Limburg. Assisted by Odelle Joubert.
13:00 – 13:30 Lunch Break
13:30 – 14:00 Bike Check
14:00 – 17:00 Races.
Kids race 1: Marker Challenge | Adult Race 1: 5 Lap Scratch with Handicap
Kids Race 2: Le Mans Start 2 lap | Adults Race 2: 10 lap 2-man race.
Kids Race 3: Obstacle figure 8 TT | Adults Race 3: team TT.
If time permits…. Race 4: Big Brother handicap 10 lap
Any child, with any bike that works is welcome to attend.
Please ensure tyres are inflated, brakes are working and chains are oiled.
Closed shoes & helmets required.
Bike rentals available for the first 10 riders, limited smaller sizes.
Cost is R50 per rider for coaching and race entry.
