READY, SET, GO!
BIO-RACER BIKE SET UP
Bike set up goes far beyond mere saddle height and setback, crank length and handlebar position.
Your set up on the bike determines your STABILITY and SYMMETRY which directly affects your pedalling technique and efficiency.
Your posture and position on the bike influences your power output and speed, climbing ability and even the development of overuse injuries or friction irritations.
This is due to the repetitive nature of cycling, which over time, combined with the continuous imposed movement (no freedom of movement) on your joints can positively or negatively impact your performance.
Bike Set Up is one of the easiest factors to control!
Many bike fitment specialists offer bike set ups based on their “eye” or past experience and palmares, and in the absence of any motion-capturing technology, trial and error was the order of the day.
Now you can get a professional bike set up with the Bio-Racer Motion System for just R1 750 and optimise your performance and comfort in the saddle.
The Bio-Racer Motion System is the most advanced, accurate bicycling fitment system from Belgium (the heart of cycling) designed to maximise your biomechanical efficiency and aerodynamic position without compromising your comfort.
It uses six ultra-high speed cameras and wireless active markers for precise 3D movement analysis.
Twenty wireless infra-red motion sensors on the cyclist, and sub-millimetre video footage is used to simultaneously analyse both sides of the rider whilst cycling.
This footage, captured at speeds of 120 frames per second, together with the infra-red measurements are used to determine the minimal and maximal angles and patterns of joint movement in your knees, hips, ankles, elbows and upper body.
It even allows the fitter to study a specific joint’s motion in minute detail and produces a report on the STABILITY and SYMMETRY of the different joints.
This data is used to reconstruct the cyclist’s movement on the bike to scientifically guide decision-making and testing during the bike set up process.
